Hi there and welcome! My name is Karen. Health and fitness have always been important to me, but I struggle with keeping myself motivated. I have a wonderfully supportive husband, and 2 eager and excited dogs who will help me in any way they know how. But the change I crave must come from within. I intend to chronicle my journey of finding my mojo and figuring out how to keep it despite the various obstacles that are bound to pop up.

I have a mentally taxing full time job as a high school adjustment counselor. I have a long commute and a full schedule. I love my job (most of the time), but I’m learning that I use my job as a huge excuse why I don’t follow through on my goals. That, plus my couch potato genes, and my very comfy couch (with very cuddly dogs) all conspire against me. So I must learn to use the motivational tools I know plus some new ones I will pick up along the way as I start this new chapter of my life.

So here’s to our health – mental, physical, emotional – and our  motivation, wellness, balance, and peace. Here’s to enjoying and celebrating life, and doing something healthy every day. And not looking back. Forward progress! Kicking ass! And confronting our inner couch potatoes.
